Your Questions Answered

  • We do not accept insurance. There are some major benefits to private pay in therapy including: your medical record stays private, your diagnosis will not go on your permanent record, and insurance cannot dictate how many sessions you are allotted. However, we can offer you a superbill that you can submit to insurance for possible imbursement.

    As private pay therapists in the State of Colorado, we are not able to provide counseling services to those who have Medicaid coverage.

  • Our rate is $165 per 50 minute session

  • As a general rule, to build a good foundation for the therapeutic relationship, we recommend to start that you come to therapy weekly. After a month or so, we can check in and see if it still makes sense to come weekly or if you are ready to move to meeting less frequently. However, we can be flexible with individual circumstances.

  • We love having parents in attendance at therapy depending on the needs of the child. Some children prefer to have parents participate in the session. Some children prefer to meet with the clinician alone. And some children like a little bit of both. We like to follow the child’s lead and do what feels safest and most comfortable to him or her.

  • Yes!

  • Yes! We love working with adults.

  • We need permission from both parents to move forward with counseling your child. We do not need the other parent’s permission, however, to offer you parenting support.

  • We are always available to you via email and we routinely schedule parent consultation sessions at a frequency uniquely tailored to your child. You also are very welcome to request a parent consult session when you feel one is needed.
